Architektur ist die Vertiefung eines kulturellen Moments, sie ist ein Zeitzeuge. Sie ist auch die Kunst der Synthese von vielen Parametern.
Der Unterschied zwischen guter und schlechter Architektur ist, dass man irgendwo ist. Man ist so oft nirgends. Man muss wissen, wo man ist. Vokabeln, Rhythmen, Farben und viele andere Parameter, die einen Ort qualifizieren.

Heute ist Nachhaltigkeit zu einem technischen Begriff geworden, Nullenergie.
Aber in Wirklichkeit geht es bei der Nachhaltigkeit der Architektur um die Vertiefung des Lebens, um die Schaffung von mehr Freude am Leben. Nur dann macht es Sinn, ein Jahrhundert oder drei zu bleiben.
Das Gegenteil ist der Fall, die Gebäude sind hingeworfen, nicht einzigartig und ohne Charakter.
Die Geschichte der Architektur hat uns gezeigt, dass die Architektur durch ihre Materialität in Verbindung mit Licht selbt zum Mysterium werden kann.
Kunst ist eine Situation, die uns mit einem Geheimnis konfrontiert, das wir wiederfinden wollen, von dem wir aber wissen, dass wir den Schlüssel nicht finden werden.
