Haus in den Ardennen
Ein kleines brennendes Licht, ganz weit weg, dort wo man hingehen sollte, unerreichbare Gedanken und Wünsche, die uns zu diesem Licht bringen, das ist die Utopie.
In den 20iger Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts träumte schon der Architekt Paul Scheerbart von einer neuen Glasarchitektur, die den Menschen mit der Natur verbindet, dem Kosmos, dem All und so sein Bewusstsein als menschliche Kreatur erweitert.
Das kleine Glashaus ist im Schnitt und im Aufriss durchproportioniert wie eine kleine europäische Kathedrale, unteranderem nach dem goldenen Schnitt. Es ist Kristall und Höhle zugleich, es gräbt sich ein und öffnet sich in ein unendliches Raumkontinuum. Es ist Geometrie und gebaute Landschaft, eine Einheit der Gegensätze.
In der Erde die Schlafräume als Höhle, im Obergeschoß der bis 5m hohe Kristallraum mit Küche mit nördlichen Bereich.
Das Spiel mit dem Licht trägt seinen Teil bei zu der geheimnisvollen Ausstrahlung in einer klaren Mondnacht.
Das Haus kommt ohne Lüftung und Klimaanlage aus, die kühlen Zimmer im Boden sorgen für angenehme Rückzugsräume in heißen Sommermonaten. Sonnenschutztücher sorgen am Tag für Sonnen- und Blendschutz.
A small burning light far away, where you should go, unaccessible thoughts and desires which brings us nearer to this light, that is the utopia.
In the 20's of the last century the architect Paul Scheerbart dreamed of a new glass architecture that connects man with nature, the cosmos, the universe, to expand his consciousness as a human creature.
The little glass house is planed with proportions in section and in elevation like a small European cathedral, mainly with the golden section. It is crystal and grotto, it digs in and opens into an infinite space continuum. It's geometry and built landscape, a unity of opposites.
In the grotto the bedrooms, upstairs the 5m high crystal room with kitchen in the northern area.
The play with the light is doing its part to the mysterious aura of the building in a clear moonlight night.
The house does not need ventilation and air conditioning, the cool rooms in the earth provides pleasant retreats in hot summer months. Sunscreenwipes are protecting against sunlight and blinding.
